*New paper* Subsidence control on river morphology and grain size in the Ganga Plain

img_2086

Another new paper this week! This is the first paper out of my PhD, considering how spatial patterns of basin subsidence influence the geomorphological characteristics of rivers draining the Ganga Plain in northern India/southern Nepal.

Here’s a link: http://www.ajsonline.org/content/316/8/778.full

A pdf version is available on the CV page of this website (alternatively email me at elizabeth.dingle@ed.ac.uk for a copy).

If you’re interested in the swath analysis used in the paper, the code and documentation is freely available on the Edinburgh Land Surface Dynamics (LSD) TopoTools website (http://lsdtopotools.github.io/) along with lots of other really nice open source tools – check it out!
